Glance v1.3.0

A Letter from Iain:

Happy new year from the Glance team! In our first new release for this year, I wanted to focus on improving our support for deploying and maintaining 'massive' installations. With this in mind, I wanted to highlight a few of the features that I think everyone is going to love.

Firstly, the team has been hard at work and has managed to cut the load time for the map and level 2 in half (or better!).

When commissioning or maintaining large deployments of School Beacons, setting up the Exception Schedules for each school group can be a hassle. Now, when you publish Holidays & Exceptions across groups, you can choose to carry the Exception Schedules into the destination businesses! This means that you can just set it up once for a single group, then easily publish them across to every other group.

We heard you! We now support longer device names, and properly support device names that span over 2 lines. Also, to help you find the device you are looking for, we have implemented a new search box that will allow you to search via device name and DeviceID to find your device. If you look at the top right side of the device list, you will see a new > arrow. This will expand the device list out so that you can use more of your screen and don't have to scroll.

General

  • Added major performance improvement to Glance Home page and Device Overview (level 2). The page load times have been greatly reduced.
  • Added a > arrow to the top of the device list, like the one on the alarm summary box, that 'unfolds' the device list into multiple columns.
  • Added a Search box that will allow the user to search the device list for device names, device status (Online/Comms Fail), and device ids.
  • Added the next scheduled event to the School Beacon popup, when you click on the figurine on the Glance map.

Beacon Control / [Edit] screen

  • When publishing Holidays and Exceptions across businesses there will now be the option to copy exception schedules.
  • Holidays & Exceptions tab and Program delay tab will be sorted using the start date in ascending order.
  • Added 'clear all' option in both Holidays and Program delay tab.
  • Radar tab, added Speed Limit option. Also removed conversion of values, all values are now saved without conversion.

Bug fixes / Quality of Life improvements

  • Reduced the size of all device icons on the Glance home screen.
  • Changed the alarm summary box so that it shows horizontally the number of critical, high, and low alarms.
  • Added support for longer device names and business names on one line.
  • Removed unused white space on device list and removing the headings 'Name Status A' row from all businesses.
  • The Reports Page PDF now opens in new tab.
  • Fixed an issue that caused offline devices to drastically increase log in times.
  • Other miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements.
